Basil Pesto Hummus


1 15 oz. can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 Tbsp tahini
8-10 fresh Florida Fresh Herbs Basil Leaves, roughly chopped
1 tsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 medium clove garlic, diced
1 tsp pine nuts
3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil, more for garnish
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Optional: hot sauce, pita, sliced veggies


Pulse chickpeas in a food processor until roughly chopped. Add in tahini, basil, lemon juice, cheese, garlic, pine nuts, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Process until smooth or desired texture is reached. Serve drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, chopped basil, salt and pepper. Enjoy with hot sauce, pita, or fresh vegetables.
